Divide - November 2011We're starting the month with a fun field trip to North East Teller County Fire Station in Woodland Park Wednesday 9th November. We will get to talk with the firefighters, take a tour of the station and explore the fire trucks! Our themes this month are fire safety, family, food and giving thanks. Monday 7th we will have a morning "Shopping Between Moms" in our playroom. This will be a great opportunity for you to purchase products from our own playgroup members who have a small business. Julie Hartman will be selling Scentsy flame-less candles and Jenny Gawlowski will have Tupperware to sell. They will have some products for us to look at, and catalogs to browse and order from. If any of you have something you would like to sell to our other members, please let me know and bring it that day! It will be fun for us moms to do some shopping while our kids play. I will have a craft/ activity and then snacks and stories for the children as usual. Shelby the Hat Lady will be in to sing to us Monday 14th, and then we will have a Thanksgiving party Wednesday 16th. The following week (Mon 21 and Wed 23) we are closed for the Thanksgiving break. After the break, Monday 28th, we will have a visit from another talented playgroup mom, Kathy Woodford, to give us a free demo class of Pikes Peak Music Together. Kathy holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education and has 8 years of teaching experience as a general K-5 music teacher. Her talents involve roles as singer/soloist, choral director and private piano and voice teacher.
